Musical Mermaid

This is for Sara... asked me for a mermaid(a modest mermaid I might add), so I created a mermaid. with a t-shirt on... what is this world coming to, when a mermaid has to wear such restraints.... lol.....giggle.. oh well, this is the finished painting one of my more favorite mermaid pieces. Took 2 days to paint

Silly Snowman

this is for Jessica, I am so excited about this one, each of the paintings was created in some respect to the person I was creating it for. Jessica asked for a drawing of a snowman painting when she was about 2 I was staying with debi over the weekend cause I was having a really tough time at school and just had to get away.... she loved the drawing, and so I figured give her a painting of it also.... the concept behind this one is, a snowman who paints life into his suroundings, for the really astute you might notice that it is summer, well he is wearing extra protection sunscreen(sunscreen so strong it protects even the most sensitive of skins), anyway so here it is

Happy Hare

K this is for paige. It is almost complete I still need to add lady bugs flying around him.... the eyes used to be a little creepy......ok myabe a lot creepy... so changed them to a light blue problem fixed.. this painting needs another 3 hours for it to be finished. but the deadline is coming up so I'm trying to get as much done as possible.... the baby blessing is on the 20th of this month so crunch time is coming up...

Timid Turtle

Well I finally did it..... after years and years of fighting to resist the temptation I broke down and created some actual cute animals.(shakes head sadly)
I don't know what came over me but I started doing cute pictures... after all these years of creating creepy grotesque monsters(a little tear trickles down my cheeck).... I have been doing cute vibrant paintings for the past month... what is this world coming to? lol
so here is the first of 6 installments.. one for each of my neieces and nephew.
Timid Turtle is for Jaxson... It is about a turtle who is afraid of the dark and he keeps trying to find ways to not be afraid of the night... It does have a happy ending.....of course it's for kids after all.

Robotic Ant

Well since my Rinamgus piece had come out so well, I decided to try creating a creature with movable innards.

Rinamagus

This is a non-static picture of Rinamagus, where he is being posed for display, his actual environment is the rain forest, but modeling and rigging all those plants and animals would have been a pain so futuristic museum it is.

Rinamagus movie

I was doodling one day and created a robotic dragon fly, I then had the crazy idea to model it.... in 3D....... lol 3 days later, Rinamagus was created. The modeling was tedious and because my computer doesn't have the best 3D capabilities I had to cut down on some of the more intricate details that I loved about the drawing but here is a movie to show how after I built and rigged him, I sent him on his maiden flight.

Korn Concept

This is a piece I am thinking of sending into Korn, this piece is still probably needing another 20 hours on it, for it to be professional level. I created the entire thing in Animation Master, created the bones using medical text books so the entire thing is 100% anatomically correct, lol I'm a perfectionist what can I say,

Silent Stag

k so I created this piece maybe a year ago so I know it's not perfect.....
this creature is supposed to be the evolved form of Rinamagus..... yes it has a story and all.
this is one of my more favorite pieces... took me about 15 hrs.... to pose the piece.. to model the water and the silent stag took about 3 days.

This is a piece I am currently working on for a book.... it is a lot blurrier than my current art and for the time being I am leaving it as it is..... I think this piece took me 5 hrs... I still need about 5 hrs to make it look as good as I want it to

Sapanar

okay just really quick the names of the Rinamagus and the Sapanar are actually flowers' names.... I was trying to think up names for these monsters and my sister was trying to memorize names of flowers for her floral arrangement class... and so I had her start spouting off names that would sound kinda prehistoric................. I can't remember what flowers these creatures were named after...........
but anyways....
I had finished my rinamagus piece and decided to see what it would look like with a triceratops head......
I didn't finish Sapanar's real body till about 2 months later due to having a really heavy work load at college
