Silent Stag
k so I created this piece maybe a year ago so I know it's not perfect.....
this creature is supposed to be the evolved form of Rinamagus..... yes it has a story and all.
this is one of my more favorite pieces... took me about 15 hrs.... to pose the piece.. to model the water and the silent stag took about 3 days.
Silent Soldier
Sapanar
okay just really quick the names of the Rinamagus and the Sapanar are actually flowers' names.... I was trying to think up names for these monsters and my sister was trying to memorize names of flowers for her floral arrangement class... and so I had her start spouting off names that would sound kinda prehistoric................. I can't remember what flowers these creatures were named after...........
but anyways....
I had finished my rinamagus piece and decided to see what it would look like with a triceratops head......
I didn't finish Sapanar's real body till about 2 months later due to having a really heavy work load at college

Samauri Sprout
I have seen silk prints that show Asian spirits/demons, and I never thought that they really caught the full grandeur of these beings of the spirit realm. So this is my own interpretation of those folktales. This is a creature of my own imagination, It is however heavily influenced by stories by Jane Yolen.
This is a recreation of Illustration friday's Sprout.

Communicating with Robots
As you can see I changed this piece alot being as I wanted the piece to have a more benovelent feel. I also removed the robots and replaced the DNA strand with the symbol for medicine. Being as it is still in the works if you have any ideas on how I can furthur improve the piece I would apreciate it.

NutCracker
This is another Painting for advanced illustration. It is a mixed medium first using a 16x20 acrylic painting then scanning it into the computer where I touched up the piece so it would have a smoother feel. The assignment was to make a poster for a play. And the only play I ever remembered liking was the Nutcracker.
I always remembered how graceful and elegant the dancers looked and I attempted to capture that same feel of wonderment that I felt as a child.
Jacob's Portrait
This is the final piece of jacob's portraits Religion is an important part of my being, and though some of my art is not beautiful by the usual standard of the word I feel that I am capturing a unique beauty that can only be seen by looking past all the creepy and sinister paint and seeing the person behind the paint. I know that this looks like I feel that my brother is evil, but the idea behind it is that Jacob with all his flaws is still a beautiful human being. Jacob has been a philosipher since the age of 7 and now at 13 he can debate with me on equal footing. He at the age of 11 had reading compreshension of a college student. And he is still the most humble and thoughtful person I have ever met. Sometimes when Jacob talks I see wisdom in him that is far beyond his years. And this picture mirrors how I see Jacob's mind.
This is the original design I created for Jacob Some like it, I don't particularly because it has very little story to it
This is one of the first paintings I created of Jacob, I was trying to capture the idea that Jacob starts to speak (the butterflies swirling up and around thoughts caught in a breeze of genius) and suddenly an image appears(the thoughts become words and in turn become the moon). Jacob has always been very deep and so this piece like the following pieces is meant to show his little world.
This is a painting I created in Advanced Illustration, we were supposed to create a portrait of a someone we felt we knew personally. This is a painting of my brother Jacob. Created completly digital

Defying Gravity
This piece looked alot better before I did the scratch off technique. I'll post an acrylic painting with what it was supposed to look like. As you have probably guessed this is for illustration friday's gravity
I really don't know what this piece is about. And it is still only about a third finished so if you have any critiques I welcome them
